I recently traded in my 2015 Mazda6 iSport for a 2018 Mazda6 Grand Touring. Yesterday I finally got the Android Auto/Apple Car Play upgrade performed at my local Mazda dealership. I am very happy with it. One thing that is a bit disappointing is that the touch screen doesn't work on Android Auto at all, not just when the car is moving.
The upgrade is priced at $199 plus labor, though exactly how much you'll pay depends on your dealership. Mazda began offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto earlier in 2018, with the launch of the
Reddit. Mazda announced that Apple CarPlay™ integration for your iPhone® and Android Auto™ are now available as a dealer-installed update for applicable Mazda vehicles, model year 2014 or newer and equipped with MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system.
