I am not a professional mechanic nor do I play one on TV, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night. These modifications can be dangerous and even deadly if improperly implemented. You should always consult a Honda certified mechanic for all modifications. I accept no liability for any use or misuse of this site (no good deed goes unpunished).

The Rev counter and Speedo work ok, but my LCD display has completely died - so I have no fuel gauge, temp, time or mileage display. I have stripped off fairing and checked all connections and fuses - no clue.
Here were the symptoms: 1) Speedometer & RPM gauges worked. 2) Backlighting worked. 3) The LCD did present the proper information only when viewed from a difficult off-angle/axis direction. 4) Supertwist of the LCD panel looked like it was on the fritz, or that the LCD's microcontroller was stuck in its initialization.
Step 1: Locate the Clock Button. The first step to changing the time on your 2008 Honda Civic is to locate the clock button. The clock button is usually located on the audio or climate control panel, depending on your specific model. Look for a small button labeled “Clock” or with a clock symbol.
