Lech is in Vorarlberg state, western Austria on the banks of the river Lech. The ski resort and town of Lech-am-Arlberg is 120 km west of Innsbruck & 20km from the legendary town & ski resort of St Anton. The town of Zurs (& its associated ski area) is 5km south of Lech, with Zug 3km to the west. Other nearby villages include Oberlech & Stubenbach.
Line 760 (St. Anton Lech) (with a change in Zürs) offers a way of getting from Stuben to St. Anton by public transport. This line can be an option for a transfer from St. Anton train station to Stuben. However, please note any waiting times when changing trains in Zürs. The costs for the journey must be paid by the guest himself.
These ski-in Apartments in the charming little town of Warth, about three miles from Lech, are being sold off-plan, with rental requirement. From €500,000, Savills (020– 7016 3740; www.savills.com) Pure is now selling three new five-bedroom chalets in Lech from €5.8m, but, like most new projects in Austria, they come with a rental obligation.
Alternatively, you can travel to the railway station in St. Anton am Arlberg. This is approx. 20 km from Lech and corresponds to a 30-minute drive. As a railjet station, all international express trains stop here, including the Venice-Simplon Orient-Express. You can then travel on to Lech by bus or one of our regional taxi companies.
